Such a cool place. We stopped for coffee a few years ago, and thought we would stay if we ever had a chance. The staff is overall very friendly, and the coffee was great. We also found the prices to be a great value, not extremely expensive and very nice quality, rustic but chic. Had a wonderful experience with Claude at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to accommodate us. Atmosphere is surprisingly family friendly, enjoyed ping pong, board games to lend downstairs, nice acoustic musician outside. Looking forward to enjoying the hot tubs later. Highly recommend.

I love this place! It’s essentially a renovated motel with some love. The rooms are nice, clean, and cozy, there’s an awesome brewery and drinks available at the front desk. Coffee shop, cool common areas, good bar food. Multiple hot tubs! But where they really knock it out of the park is by adding little details like the “pocket guide” in every room. You can tell this place cares, and it’s a great business idea to flip old properties in awesome destinations like Tahoe and put the effort in to make them welcoming spaces. I highly recommend this place!

I'd seen this place before... choose it due to the location (right on state line, and across an small street from Caesers Republic). Amazing service from Maddie!! Very thoughtful, considerate, and knowledgeable. Hotel is thoughtfully done. Not a 5 star resort- and i think that's part of the charm! Clean and spacious. We did a King Balcony- i'd reccomend that room.

I booked through Expedia for my stay at Basecamp. Unfortunately due to bad weather, I was not able to make the reservation. The folks at Basecamp were so understanding and helpful. Even with cancellation issues through Expedia, they have kept clear and friendly communication in figuring it out! Would stay here next time just for the great customer support.

Travel from the Central Valley to Tahoe for my niece's wedding. We had a large group that stayed at Base Camp. The young beautiful lady Mrs Maddie was beyond helpful, very friendly and knows the definition of customer service. She made sure that we were welcomed, provided all information about our stay. This review is specifically for the hotel attendant Cameron. He is a class act. We arrived at the hotel only to find out that one of pets had a medical emergency. We needed to quickly make a decision, and Cameron was very understanding with our predicament. He canceled our reservation on the spot and credited our stay. This type of kind gesture speaks loudly of the staff that works here.

We had another fantastic experience at Basecamp Hotel! Maddie and Rodrigo were extremely accommodating and helpful during check-in - so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The barista also deserves a huge shoutout - the food was absolutely delicious and a perfect start to our day. We’ve stayed here many times and will absolutely continue coming back. Basecamp never disappoints and continues to be one of our favorite places to stay. Highly recommend!

Not only was it a lovely room (a little small, yet so cozy!) and location, but they have a cafe (that opens from 7am - 2pm, I believe) at the reception area and their entire menu is so delicious! 100% recommend, I will definitely be staying here again!
